You do not need a car to see the Cajón del Maipo.

Getting here

We arrange a private transfer from Santiago airport or from the city with advance booking: ask us for a quote on WhatsApp. By car it is 75 minutes from the airport without traffic, on a paved road all the way to the village.

Flying in from Australia, the UK or Europe? After a long-haul flight, your first night in Chile does not have to be in the city: send us your flight time and we arrange the transfer straight to the valley.

Seeing the valley once you are here

Tell us what you would like to do and we help you organise it with the people who run it. Cascada de las Ánimas, 19 minutes away, offers rafting, horse riding and trails, booked directly with them. The long trips, Embalse El Yeso and the Valle de Colina hot springs, take a full day.

We will tell you honestly what is possible on your dates.

Staying

Chalet de Piedra: seven suites and a bungalow in a 1920 stone house in San José de Maipo, run by the hosts who live here. Wood-fired hot tub, pool, gardens and home-made breakfast included. From CLP 180,000 a night for two, Sunday to Thursday.
